The outdoor shrine statue of Our Lady and Child in the Matt's Wood development at Our Lady of England Priory THE MASS & TORCHLIGHT PROCESSION DUE TO TAKE PLACE ON THURSDAY 8 SEPTEMBER 2011 HAS NOW BEEN CANCELLED.
Each year on the Feast of the Birthday of Our Lady, 8 September (NOT in 2011 - see above) there is Mass in the Priory church at 7.30pm followed by a Torchlight Procession to the outdoor shrine through the Matt's Wood Development. We provide candles and some electric lighting to make the path safer, but you might like to bring a torch as well! Please join us for this lovely celebration each year. Refreshments are available after the Procession. A collection is taken for the upkeep of the Shrine of Our Lady of England. All are welcome.
